FAC Magazine

I am a co-founder, former Creative Director and Chief Editor of FAC, a Dublin based, fashion, arts and culture magazine.

I managed all content and creative aspects of the site and print. Our first hard copy was produced in May 2018.

My time at FAC allowed me to become more proficient at managing social media, financially managing projects, logistics and to develop my event management skills.

It also helped strengthen my computer software skills by using Squarespace, Microsoft Office, all Google platforms and Adobe Creative Cloud.

Below you can find various screen grabs from the website as well as content created by myself with the assistance of internal and external stakeholders.

Website Content

My aim was to create a platform where artists and creative could come to us with their work and we would find a way to showcase it that was original and authentic to them.

Below are some links to a selection of the content pages that were created.

FAC Issue 1: Belladonna

I was the Chief Editor, Content Creator as well as Project and Event Manager for our first print magazine, ‘Belladonna’.

The issue discussed the public and private artworks behind the Repeal the 8th abortion movement in Ireland.

It was printed on 200gsm paper with exclusive content created by myself and the team. The graphic design was done by Lucas Garvey and all content curated and edited by myself.

Each issue came in an envelope with exclusive posters and stickers. The envelope was part of a graffiti mural which was made by sticking the envelopes to a steel fence. We then got a graffiti artist to paint the issue name on the cover and sold the issue by the customer selecting what part of the mural they wanted. When an envelope sold we would cut down the envelope and put the contents inside which created a live interactive installation. As more people bought issue the mural became more abstracted and more of the steel fence became exposed. Each issue was then numbered on the back of the envelope.

The launch night featured live DJs and was sponsored by Jameson Whiskey.

See below for screen grabs of the print as well as a selection of promotional imagery and photos of the launch night.
